Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has initiated a project, named “Accelerating transition to a circular economy in India’s electrical and electronic sector through sustainable integrated approaches”, a five-year initiative. The project is jointly funded by Global Environment Facility (GEF) and Government of India, which is being implemented by Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET). The project aims to integrate circular economy principles in the electrical and electronic sector by implementing measures throughout the entire value chain of products till their end-of-life (including recycling and disposal) through the proposed interventions:
