HOT STAGE POLARISING MICROSCOPE : Hot Stage and Polarising Microscope

Principal of Operation:
Hot Stage Polarising Microscope is used to study the optoelectronic and thermal behaviour of the liquid crystal ,organic and polymeric samples. In heating stage, samples are positioned between commercial slide and a cover glass . The photo monitor allows determination and plotting of the light intensity of the field of view as a function of temperature. Thus material phase transitions

information qualitatively as well as quantitatively can be determined.

Hot Stage Polarising Microscope is an important instrument for the characterization of organic liquid crystal, liquid crystal polymers, organic polymeric materials, glass and nanocrystalline materials, Qualitative and quantitative information on the chemical or physical changes occurring in the sample e.g. colour changes, melting, polymorphisam , crystal transformation or decompositions can be detected and documented. Electro-optical properties of liquid crystal materials will also be investigated.

Capabilities:
Melting Point, Phase Transition Temperature, Morphology of the Phases etc.
Accuracy: ± 0.1 °C
